Solicitor with over six years specialist experience in Immigration Law. Mr. Sachdev is a member of the law society's Immigration Law Panel. Having trained in a general High Street Practice. Mr. Sachdev has vast experience in General Litigation. Mr. Sachdev deals with all aspects of Immigration Law from Appeals to Adjudicators to proceedings in the European Courts of Human Rights. His dedication and care for clients is reflected in the results achieved for clients in some of the most complex cases. Mr. Sachdev has had a number of his cases reported in various Law Reports and Journals reflecting his capabilities in critically analysing the ever changing immigration practice. He is also a very experienced advocate who has represented clients at various courts. He has also dealt with some high profile cases including one of woman who lost her entire family in an air tight container en route to the UK. The woman was the only survivors of the family. More recently, the BBC invited Mr. Sachdev to appear on two of its live programmes. (In one - You the Judge, as the advocate for the woman who lost her family whilst fleeing from persecution). Mr. Sachdev is also presently involved in a number of "test" cases. Mr. Sachdev's commitment to Humanity has enabled him to play an integral role in the firm achieving its goals of helping the most vulnerable in society. Mr. Sachdev is also very supportive of his colleagues and his guidance and support has helped him develop good leadership skills. Mr. Sachdev supervises solicitors and caseworkers.
 

Amit was awarded Legal Aid Lawyer 2006 in the Immigration and Asylum Category. The award ceremony was chaired by Cherie Booth QC (Mrs Blair!) who presented the award. These awards are announced once a year and are in recognition of the “unsung heroes” of legal aid. The awards are National and people are short listed by judges who then decide the person most suitable for the award. The judges in this year’s panel included Mrs. Blair and a High Court Judge as well as other important dignitaries.
