Mr Sajid Sheikh is a founder and Managing Director of Sheikh & Co Solicitors. His strong principles, beliefs and erudition played an integral part in the establishment of the firm in May 1997 and are firmly embedded in its characteristics. His formidable leadership, business aptitude and determination have all lead to the continuous success and growth of the firm.

Mr Sheikh is a resolute believer in the protection of Human Rights and Equal Opportunities, which are evident, both in the success of his legal cases and in the manner in which he manages his firm. He has been specialising and committed to Immigration and Asylum Law since 1992. His compassion and dedication are apparent by his extensive involvement and high profile within his field. He is a member and senior assessor of the Law Society's Immigration Panel, a consultant on the Legal Services Commissions Peer Review Committee and a committee member of the Legal Aid Practitioners Group. He has appeared on a successful television serial 'Legal Live' as the resident Immigration Expert for the channel Asianet and on several news/debate programmes for the BBC, Zee TV and Sunrise Radio.

Mr Sheikh previously practised as a reputable Independent Lawyer before the Supreme Court of India for over six years. He successfully handled numerous Writ Petitions, Civil and Criminal Appeals and Industrial and Labour disputes. Mr Sheikh has also taught Law at the prestigious Dr P D College of Law in Maharashtra as a part-time lecturer and is renowned for his teaching abilities. Earlier in his career he spent four years managing his family businesses where he acquired his vast entrepreneur talent and skills. He also holds a Degree in Commerce and has successfully completed a year as an Articled Accounts Clerk with an auditors company all adding to his excellent business aptitude and credentials.
